Rifle Club
Rifle Team is a club open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade student that teaches the basics of gun safety and marksmanship. Students are presented with lessons on gun safety by instructors and are then taught to fire a .22 caliber rifle under instructor supervision. Each students group meet for 3 weeks and at the end of the year, students who have successfully completed their training are given the opportunity to shoot in a competition. The rifle club teaches responsibility and safety to its students, and gives many of them their first opportunity to safely handle a firearm. Anyone who is interested can talk to Mr. Grant in room 310.
