Assistant Principal: Chad Cordek's Message
Dear Trojan Families and Community Members,
It is with great honor that I serve as the Assistant Principal of Greater Johnstown Middle School. With a lifelong dedication to supporting the growth and development of young learners, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this exceptional school community. My 26 years of experience in education have reinforced my belief in the transformative power of collaboration, dedication, and high expectations. The past year at JMS was a testament to the strength of our school’s commitment to excellence, and I am proud to be part of such a compassionate, hardworking, and united team.
On behalf of the Greater Johnstown School District, I extend a warm welcome to all. Our district is built upon a foundation of pride and tradition, and we remain steadfast in our mission to deliver the highest quality education to every student. The proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child,” resonates deeply within our community. Together—educators, families, and community partners—we strive to create the best possible environment for our students’ success. As educators, we embrace not only the responsibility of academic instruction but also the privilege of shaping character, resilience, and lifelong learners. Our approach is holistic, ensuring that each child’s instructional, social, and emotional needs are met with care and intentionality.
As your Assistant Principal, I am committed to placing students at the heart of every decision. We will continue to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. Through fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for learning, we aim to prepare students for future success. Social-Emotional Learning will remain a priority, empowering students to approach challenges with confidence and perseverance. Above all, every child in our care will be valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their fullest potential.
I am eager to embark on another outstanding year alongside you. Together, we will uphold the Trojan spirit of excellence and unity.
Go Trojans!
Sincerely,
Mr. Chad A. Cordek
